I was retired from teaching for one whole day before deciding to begin a second career as an adjunct professor at Barton College, where I do my best to teach freshmen how to survive that first year of college composition and live to tell about it. The mother of two amazing young adults, Emma Jane (24) and Dawson (22), and the wife of Kelly (since 1984!), I have written about my family for years and have stacks of journals to prove it.  Obviously, I can’t share all that “juicy” and uncensored material here (without changing names to protect the innocent haha), but I can try to use the peaks and valleys of my life to help others feel a little less crazy or alone. And, if nothing else, I can write to keep my brain working during my semi-retirement years.
